Ground Games Horses

The horses on this page are suitable for engaging in games with a person. They can be trained online and eventually engage at liberty - the true test of the bond you create. As the saying goes -

When the halter comes off - you are left with the truth.

These horses have basic manners - teaching them the games is the challenge we hope you will accept~

Pinkie

Pinkie is a 12 year old mustang gelding. He has pink skin, almost an albino. Because of his skin Pinkie requires a full fly mask all summer long or he will sunburn. He is smaller, about 14.1 HH. Pinkie was wild when FCER got him, but he has really turned around. We are recommending him for someone who wants to develop a friendship with Pinkie that does not include riding. Our concern is again, his pink skin and his age. Pinkie halters, leads and stands for the farrier. He is also up to date on vaccinations and deworming.

ADOPTION FEE FOR PINKIE IS $250
PINKIE IS ALSO AVAILABLE FOR FOSTERING

Ruth

Ruth is an 11 year old mustang mare. We started her in the saddle training program, but she just can't seem to trust people being above her. She is quite nice to work with on the ground though, and we are hoping someone will give her the chance to have a good relationship with a person.
She is up to date on vaccinations, deworming and farrier work.

Adoption Fee for Ruth is $250

Dreamer
Dreamer came to FCER in an extreme case of neglect. His front feet were 10 inches too long. He had been living alone in a corral for over 8 years. All this while he was still a stallion. And he was unhandled. Multiple challenges were faced to get Dreamer's medical conditions and his lack of training under control. After 2 years of rehabilitation Dreamer is finally at a point in his life where he engages with other horses and is comfortable in a herd environment. Now at 15 years old, Dreamer won't be a riding horse. But he can be a very nice partner for Natural Horsemanship Ground Games.
Dreamer is up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating and farrier work.
Adoption fee for Dreamer is $250

Rambler

Rambler is a gorgeous 11 year old dark bay gelding. Originally a wild horse from the Thoreau area, Rambler is  being trained using Natural Horsemanship Techniques through online and hands on sessions. Potential adopters are encouraged to participate in this training at no expense to them. He stands about 14.3 HH and weighs about 800 lbs.

Adoption Fee for Rambler is $250
