We couldn’t do it without our volunteers!

Our volunteers do so much for us here at the rescue. In addition to helping muck out pens, and keeping all the water troughs full, they are necessary for the socialization of our horses. Most volunteers are assigned a horse to work with to get it ready for the next stage of training. This might look like helping a horse be confident being caught, or learning how to accept fly spray. The horses learn to trust their volunteer and its amazing to watch the transformation from spooky to sweetheart. They are much more ready for their new homes after a few months with someone who really listens to them.
